Ice Fishing

I was finally able to do some ice fishing. You would think of all the years I spent in Bear Lake that I would have done some of that, but I didn't. I have a friend here in the ward that is very big into fly fishing and ice fishing and this year because of him I have been able to do both for the first time in my life. Maybe the skills or his teaching but I caught fish in both instances :). Here are some pictures of our trip to Strawberry reservoir yesterday with just the boys and then our trip close by at Cozey reservoir with the kids. Both days were good weather and I'm looking forward to more trips in the future. Actually going on the 24th with the Elders Quorum!

Rub a Dub Dub Three Men in a Tub?

Roo had to recaulk our bathtub and of course all the kids needed to be in the tub to help. That last for a while until Madelyn feel out of the tub backwards. Roo took them all out and locked the door so he could finish. The tub looks so much better. Thanks Roo!

Vanessa loves to wear these sunglasses. This morning I had the dishwasher open and walked around the corner to find Vanessa on the door. She is growing up way too fast. I have noticed that she says "thank you" and please.

Halloween

The kids had a good Halloween. We took Vanessa just up our street and then across the other side. She then went home to help Daddy hand out candy. He said she liked to answer the door when trick or treaters came. Madelyn and Nolan had a good time but towards the end Madelyn was tired of walking but Nolan could have went longer. It was a nice night to be out.

Good buds

The other night we watched our friends kids. They have a little boy Jacob that is 3 months older than Vanessa and they have become pretty good buds. He is very laid back and they play well together (at least what their attention spans allow).

New blinds finally!

Reading the title of this post may sound cheezy, but those people that know about our backdoor this was a milestone yesterday. Putting the blinds up in our windows rather than having a redneck bedsheet covering them is something to celebrate. This simple fix has made the doors look very nice, now the last thing to do will be to finally paint them! Stay tuned in another couple years!
